About the Doctors

Dr. Tsai was born in Atlanta, Georgia, however, grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana. He attended Indiana State University and graduated with B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Life Sciences. He received his Optometry degree from Indiana University and did his Ophthalmic Disease and Primary Care internships at the Veterans’ Administration Medical Center-Huntington, WV and Quantico Naval Medical Clinic-Quantico, VA. He has also completed clinical training in Low-vision, Pediatrics, and Specialty Contact-lens Fitting at the Indianapolis Eye Care Center-IUPUI, Indianapolis, IN and Community Eye Care Centers in Bloomington, IN.

 

Dr. Tsai focuses on primary care optometry (glasses and contacts) and the medical management of eye disorders and disease, including glaucoma, dry-eyes and pre and post operative care. He is certified to perform Paragon corneal refractive therapy. He is an active member in the Virginia Optometric Association and American Optometric Association as well as being a Fellow of the National Academy of Opticianry.

Text Box: Dr. Bertke grew up in Huntingburg, Indiana and attended the University of Southern Indiana and graduated with Honors with a B.S. degree in Biology . She was in the top 3% of her class and received her Optometry degree from Indiana University. Along with Dr. Tsai she did her Ophthalmic Disease and Primary Care internships at the Veterans’ Administration Medical Center-Huntington, WV and Quantico Naval Medical Clinic-Quantico, VA. She has also completed clinical training in Low-vision, Pediatrics, and Specialty Contact-lens Fitting at the Indianapolis Eye Care Center-IUPUI, Indianapolis, IN and Community Eye Care Centers in Bloomington, IN.

Dr. Bertke focuses on primary care optometry (glasses and contacts) and the medical management of eye disorders and disease. However, her other interests include hard to fit contact lenses and pediatrics  She has been an active member in the past with the American Optometric Association as well as various civic groups in the Fredericksburg community.
